Hilldale Planting Project

29 trees and 30 crape myrtles were installed at Hilldale and Camp Bowie for two blocks across from the closed Kroger. Camp Bowie District hired I&E Services to install the plantings. The design was produced by Fowlkes Norman which creates quaint sitting areas with native plants. Benches will be installed in the coming months. Gater bags were installed on all the trees and Camp Bowie District will water the area for the next two years.  

The planting will help soften the view for all the residences that live in that area and will beautify the area for all visitors. Camp Bowie District is appreciative for the grants from The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis to help with the costly but important improvements.  

The beautification committee makes the decision annually on the planting projects along the Boulevard.
